“When I was starting to make The Ride, we had raised money and I felt like I was going outside of the realm that I had been comfortable — this avant-garde theater scene and immersive theater. And I said, hey, we’re going to make a show in Time Square and Broadway. And I thought I needed to find experts who did Broadway shows and ask them how I should make The Ride. I differed to a lot of those so-called experts, and I think that it set me back and it made me not trust my judgment anymore.”
