“After a few months of being just almost depressed about the situation, I noticed that the reason I wasn’t finding anything is because, my self worth was down the drain. So I stopped doing everything that I was doing. And I started focusing on, I guess it sounds a little corny, but loving myself again, realizing I am worth it.”

Career Challenge
“The first one was definitely Harambee, I felt like I was on top of the world. Being a global finalist they treat you like the hype Silicon Valley gives to potential startups that crash and burn a few months later. So once we got to the global finals, we’re surrounded by people who are just flying us all over the place. We were doing interviews. Our pictures were everywhere. I felt like I was on top of the world. And when that collapsed, I was 24. Mentally I wasn’t prepared to fail because I felt like I kept winning in life at that point.”
