“We spent a couple of years building this amazing product and spent a ton of money doing so, we launched it into the world and had some passionate users, but it didn’t have the same success we expected to. And maybe it could have been salvaged, but we had spent so much money getting to that point that, we didn’t have enough runway to fix it. At least half of my team got laid off… So I think at least half of the team went over to Google in the end and that ended up being a very good choice.”
