“I wrote the book for that show, it was a musical based, and it was a big success in a small theater. It was beautiful. So then they thought, let’s take it to Broadway. And in my heart, I knew that it wasn’t going to work for Broadway, but how can you give up that opportunity? I knew we were going to flop and we did big time. We lasted one week, the reviews were scathing.”
