“My advice to people who feel stuck in a workforce where they cannot be their true and full selves is to look for the leaders and to look for organizations and companies for whom the policies and mission could not be accomplished without full utilization of their entire team at a 100% and openness to different perspectives.”
Career Challenge
“The CEO after about four or five months of me not closing a big deal decided I would be better suited in the back office doing something operational. And even that early in my career, I knew that is not what I wanted to do. And I also knew that the guy that I was working with, who was senior to me, would not have closed a couple of those deals if I hadn’t been with him on those trips. But the bosses didn’t know that. So I was able to figure out a way to get onto a trip with one of the key executives. And he got to see me in action. And I just prepared myself for that meeting with a prospect and used my innate skills to navigate the meeting. And we won a very large deal for us at that time.”
