“My dad was really sick for the early years of my career and it just characterized my entire life. I woke up worrying about him and worrying about my mother and focused more on them than myself. When you’re someone who’s used to achieving, you often focus on maintaining a facade of everything’s cool, and there’s a culture where you’re not allowed to show vulnerability. And it really created a bit of a toxic brew for me.”
