I had enormous failure during the last financial crisis, the Great Recession. The industry was advising high net worth individuals to place their cash into a variable rate demand obligation that would pay more money than a money market account. And so that’s what I did. And all my peers did. And when the financial crisis hit those instruments that were supposed to be completely safe and liquid froze up. And my clients that had trusted me putting their cash in these instruments — I had to look at them in the eye and say, we can’t get your cash out right now. That was immense failure.”
