“When I was working on the mobile payment startup, we raised multiple six figures. We had a multiple million dollar valuation and we had investors lined up who basically said, if you can meet these goals, we’ll fund you an additional few million. And it was really exciting. Where we failed was we spent way too much time caught in the excitement of being entrepreneurs and having accomplished the things that we’d already done instead of really putting our heads down and building the product.”
