“When I finished up freshman year, I became president of our business school’s LGBT student organization. And by the end of my presidency, which ended three months later, the entire club fizzled. I wasn’t relying on my team. I tried to put too much on my own shoulders. I tried to grow the club and keep it alive, and frankly I wasn’t delegating as I should have. By the time I left, the club was gone.”
