“When I was about six months into Concierge Diamonds, I had just rented my first office and having that $1,500 monthly rent plus an internet bill plus a phone bill, and I’d hired an employee — all of a sudden I had about a $6,000-$7,000 monthly overhead that had to be met before I took home one penny. It hit me that when you’re the boss, you get paid last.”
