Career Path
Interview Highlights
“As a generalist curator, I really am listening for the ear of what the general audience would respond to and try to help them reach that ear better.”
Best Career Advice
“We have to make opportunities for ourselves and can’t expect anything to land in our laps.”
Career Challenge
“The first time that I curated a program completely on my own was this program. That was a salon event, so not a super long one, but 7-8 speakers in our Ted office theater. And I felt, I think queuing for years already, but always with a team and with a second reader. And for this one, it was one of those projects that was like, ‘Oh yeah, you’ll, you’ll be fine.’ And the truth is I wasn’t fine. I needed support.”
