“I knew what I wanted to do earlier than most people did. I think I just assumed that I was going to get this great job when I graduated, but I was so specific in what I wanted to do – I wanted to market movies and get a marketing assistant job. And there’s only a handful of movie studios out there. So it was difficult.”
Best Career Advice
“The key to success is passion. Be willing to throw yourself on the tracks for something and really work hard because you love it. And that makes it all worth it.”
After attending a conference in Madrid, the day of her flight back home to Los Angeles Becky got lost and ended up missing her flight.
“I ended up getting in trouble for missing my flight, which I’m consistently floored by when I talk to people in the movie business. But they made me pay them back. And I got in trouble and I got called in and HR was there…And it wasn’t something I did on purpose. That was when I realized that this wasn’t the type of place that I wanted to be at anymore.”
