“I do remember a time when I was freelancing in New York where I just wasn’t getting the work. Bear in mind, I wasn’t making lots of money. Even when I was starting my writing career, I was supporting myself as being a freelance fact checker for different magazines, but there was definitely a period where that was drying up and I wasn’t making ends meet.”
