Ladan Davia is the founder and CEO of Beeya, a meta-search engine and employee matching platform that has partnerships with companies including Zip Recruiter, Indeed, and Nexxt.   Her dream, or so she thought, when she graduated from Chapman University in 2014 was to become a hard news reporter. Fortunately, she realized before she graduated the quality of life (there isn’t any) of an entry-level hard news reporter wasn’t for her. And after landing a job at Entertainment Tonight, she decided to scrap the whole TV thing altogether.  It wasn’t until she started searching for another job online, one that would ideally match her interests, that Ladan realized something was missing. She spent hours browsing multiple job search sites and still couldn’t find a good fit for her professional interests. Instead, she got recommendations for jobs to be a gardener or a nanny. So, being the bad-ass 20-something that she is, Ladan decided to do something about it!  She decided to use DATA to match job seekers with the jobs they actually want. What a concept, right? With her past experience as a co-founder of the test prep company Excelerate Test Prep (while she was still an undergrad) and with the help of engineers, Ladan founded Beeya.

  • How to take a simple problem and solve it with your own startup
  • The easiest ways to stand out in a job interview regardless of the competition
  • Why you should get involved in some kind of philanthropic work (for example, Ladan is a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters)
