“Don’t read your own press. People are writing about you, and they’re saying things about you that are positive and they’re trying to sell magazines, or they’re trying to get hits on a website. And they will sometimes say things that are just a gross distortion of a human being. Don’t believe it.”
Career Challenge
“In a school that required a 4.0, trigonometry and calculus, advanced geometry and algebra, these were are all mathematics I never had. I had a great deal of memorization to do, and I got by with a C- and the generosity of a professor. But at that point, I’d come all this way and I’m going to blow it and not have a degree and all those detractors were going to be right. But they were wrong, they were wrong by a C-.”
