“In March, we got on a phone call, and our CFO said, we have to put people on furlough, and we have to close the stores. And I was going to be the one leading these conversations. So we brought everybody onto a FaceTime call and began to let everyone know that we were going to have to close the stores, and that we’re going to be letting people off, putting people on furlough, and that it was for an undefinable period of time. It very much felt like a failure.”
