Mitch Berliner, co-founder and owner of Bethesda Central Farm Market, has been a trailblazer and entrepreneur in the food industry for over 30 years. Shortly after graduating from college, he started the gourmet-to-go concept. A few years later he founded Berliner Foods which introduced people in the Mid-Atlantic region to their favorite treats:  Haagen Dazs, Ben & Jerry’s, Dove Bars, and many other high quality and organic frozen products. After Edy’s acquired his company in 1985, he opened Berliner Specialty Distributors and introduced an array of organic and specialty foods to the area. In 2008 he and his wife founded Central Farm Markets which today runs 3 farmers markets in Maryland and Northern Virginia. Most recently they founded Meatcrafters to bring locally sourced homemade meats and sausages to area restaurants and consumers. Mitch has been inducted into the Maryland Food Industry Hall of Fame for his contribution to the food industry and long stand involvement with numerous charitable and civic organizations.  Press play to learn how to improvise your path to find jobs you love!
