Best Career Advice

“Behind running the experiment and being productive, there is a human being. You really need to care for that human being beyond data acquired or productivity.”

Career Challenge

“I was a post doc at the Weizmann Institute and I developed this new method to look at a P53 in individual cells. And we had to run videos under the microscope for many hours. And at that time we did not have the equipment to do it. So my mentors suggested to send me to the Rockefeller Institute in New York, to collaborate with another lab there that has that instrument. And so we did that. We felt like it was really critical for my research, but the trip was a disaster, nothing worked.”
